Zinahom joined Shahrazad Dance Ensemble in 1994 and retired from the troupe in 2006. With a deep background in music and performance, she brought both emotion and precision to her performance of ethnic dances. Her sense of humor was evident when we performed as our fusion alter egos, The Wild Women of Wongo. Among many teachers, she took workshops from Maestro Mahmoud Reda.
Zinahom loved to perform as a soloist in Seattle’s nightclubs to the music of the MB Orchestra, and she and her musician husband took lessons in oud with master oud player Maurice Rouman.
